Bodio Center has just started the Green design path, by deciding to apply for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), one of the most prestigious sustainability certifications, following the Operation and Maintenance for Existing Buildings protocol.

The US system to classify energy efficiency and the ecological impact of buildings, called LEED (short for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) provides a series of measurement standards to assess sustainable buildings.

LEED certified buildings use key resources more efficiently than conventional buildings, which are simply constructed in compliance with the municipal regulations.

They provide a healthier living and work environment, which contributes to enhancing productivity and improving workers’ health and comfort.

The benefits of implementing a LEED strategy include improvement of the air and water quality, reduction of solid waste, which are beneficial both for the owners and for those who live or work there, as well as for society as a whole.
